The third year for a wine tasting and auction event, it is the first year in this location. "Cava's" of Bay Harbor is hosting the event with fantastic hors d'oeuvres and one complimentary glass of wine. We will enjoy the lovely voice and talent of Robin Lee Berry as she has agreed to perform for the event (lucky us!). Please come and join us from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. You are sure to have fun!
Poochfest is an educational and entertainment event. Entrants participate in games with their dogs, enjoy demonstrations of canine prowess, shop a variety of pet related vendors and compete for prizes in a wide variety of “contests” such as “Smartest Dog”, “Best Vocal Performance”, "Best Frisbee Catcher", etc. Over the last four years participation from the community has increased steadily so that 2009, even though the weather did not cooperate, saw nearly 500 participants.
Leader of The Pack will be in its fourth year in 2010. A motorcycle rally topped off by a meal, bike contests with prizes and a silent auction of fun “biker” items, this event grew by twenty percent over its first year. In 2009 we added a "Ride Like A Pro" workshop with Gary Lewandowski. A great success we look forward to to bringing Gary back for future events.
Wiener dog races are for the dachsunds of the area and their owners to come out, celebrate their pets unique qualities and have a ton of fun. Win prizes for best costume, biggest and smallest "weiner dog" and, of course, for the fastest weiner dog!
Details and registrations for all events can be had by phoning, emailing or checking out the links on our home page as we get closer to the actual events!
PS: Even though all the events appear to be "doggie" themed, our canine friends are helping to fun-draise for all the four-leggeds that come through our doors during the year. The cats would just rather stay home and cheer from a distance!
