The Charlevoix Area Humane Society save rate, calculated according to the nationally recognized Asilomar Standard, ((Intake – Euthanasia Outcomes) divided by Intake) reflects the many options for pets that come to our shelter besides adoption, such as animal transfers and animals who are returned to their owner.
The Charlevoix Area Humane Society was founded in 1974, under the name of Charlevoix County Humane Society. It is an independent non-profit 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter dedicated to protecting and caring for all animals in Charlevoix County, Michigan by providing shelter, food, medical care, foster care and adoptions. This non-profit organization depends on donations, grants and fundraisers for support. The Humane Society Shelter is lccated in Boyne, Michigan at 614 Beardsley Street.
