Educational Programs

Educational programs are the cornerstone of creating a more informed and compassionate community. At the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, we believe that knowledge empowers people to make better decisions for the animals in their care and beyond. Through our educational outreach efforts, we cover topics like responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, proper animal nutrition, and understanding pet behavior.

The Charlevoix Area Humane Society regularly offers educational talks with area school children and seniors groups. We follow up our talks with tours of the facility, and attendees take home materials aimed at educating responsible pet ownership and the benefits to the pets, owners and neighbors.
