Giving Tuesday

Dear Friend of the Charlevoix Area Humane Society,

Because of your support, the Charlevoix Area Humane Society has served and found loving homes for hundreds of dogs and cats (and even a few exotic animals) and saved the lives of stray and surrendered animals from near and far. In the past year, we have made major investments to improve the health and safety of our animals, including a new heating, cooling, and air purification system to negate airborne pathogens and decrease upper respiratory issues, as well as a new surgical room that will allow us to spay and neuter our shelter animals. Not only are our animals healthier as result, but the shelter will save tens of thousands of dollars each year in medical costs.

Now we have turned our focus to addressing the growing issue of feral cat colonies around Charlevoix County with our new feline Trap-Neuter-Release Program. TNR programs are the most humane and only effective method to control community cat populations.

But we can’t do this important lifesaving work without you. The Charlevoix Area Humane Society is a non-profit organization that depends entirely on charitable giving, grants, and your support to fulfill our mission. Your support makes our work possible, and we are asking for your continued support of our efforts.

On behalf of our volunteers, staff, and especially the animals we work to protect, thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Robert (Scott) H. MacKenzie
