Volunteer Opportunities
The Charlevoix Area Humane Society is fortunate to have many volunteers contribute their valuable time! Below are some of our needed positions.
- Office Assistants (Greeting visitors, answering phone calls, making adoption follow-up calls, filing, and help with mailings)
- Cat Care Helpers/Socialization (Playing, grooming, and spending time with cats).
- Dog Walkers/Socialization (Walking and lead training, simple command training, and spending time with dogs)
- Dog Trainers
- Facility and Grounds Maintenance Helpers (Cleaning offices, storage areas, and grounds such as the following: laundry, dishes, washing windows, cleaning floors, etc.
- Foster Caregivers for Dogs and Cats
- Fundraisers
- Grant Writers
- Pet Bathers
- Photographers
- Special Events Supporters
- Student Volunteers
- Transporters
